Dating Apps Are The Real Deal

Dating apps are more popular than ever. But this has not always been the case. There once was a time not that long ago if you told someone you met your date online they would think you were crazy. At that time many people weren't used to talking to others online. They thought meeting someone online was like picking up a hitchhiker. Boy have things changed. This was before the smart phone and phone instant messaging. Now people are used to chating back and forth without actually seeing the person. Studies show more people are meeting their significant other online than traditional ways of meeting.

Once you hit a certain age, it becomes very difficult to meet new people of the opposite sex. You don’t get invited to New Year’s Eve parties where there are a bunch of single people because most of your friends are married with kids. Instead, you get invited to a lot of children's birthday parties, piano concerts and recitals, and parties with other couples. Even the Super Bowl parties you attend are likely to have a bunch of couples and lots of children. This is why so many people are turning to online dating websites. Within a matter of minutes, you can be talking to a new person who lives just ten or fifteen minutes away from you. Statistics show the number of people who use online dating websites and apps are growing every year. It is now said to be a 1.8 billion dollar industry. According to a study done by the Pew Research Group 59 percent of adults believe online dating is a good way to meet people.

Nearly 50 million have tried it at least once. What I’ve learned from years of online dating is this, it’s the quickest and easiest way to meet people period. What happens after that depends on a million different things. I’ve also learned just how completely different men and women are when it comes to chatting. That’s where things can go downhill quickly. And that is the main reason I decided to write this book. Despite the complaints you hear over and over from women about men’s behavior online I still believe it is possible for both men and women to find potential dates with online dating sites easier and faster and with more frequency than you can offline.
